![]() Turn right from the checkpoint to spot it. You'll find this Dire Shadow in the Tree of Knowledge, Path of Yearning. It drops a Star Sticker (High Showtime gauge boost) accessory when defeated. It can also be frozen with help from Freeze Boost. ![]() You'll find this Dire Shadow in the Jail of the Abyss, Path to the Abyss. It drops a Roland Medal (All stats +5) accessory when defeated. It can also be shocked with from Shock Boost. It is weak to electricity, bless and curse. Some ways east of the entrance to the Prison Keep. You'll find this Dire Shadow in Osaka Jail, Mt. It drops a Skanda Socks (Accuracy/Critical +10) accessory when defeated. It can also be burned or frozen with help from Burn Boost or Freeze Boost respectively. Enter the portal at the Fortune Shrine and you'll emerge at the destination. Fast travel to the Fox Couple Statue checkpoint then head west into the portal. You'll find this Dire Shadow in Kyoto Jail, Mother Fox Shrine. It drops an Atlas Anklet (Strength +10) accessory when defeated. It can also be burned or shocked with help from Burn Boost or Shock Boost respectively. It is weak to fire, electricity and wind. Fast travel to the Lab: North checkpoint, then turn right toward a room full of containers. You'll find this Dire Shadow in Okinawa Jail. It drops a Wizard Amulet (Magic + 10) accessory when defeated. It would be best to not inflict any elemental ailments on this one and focus on it's many elemental weaknesses instead. It is weak to nuclear, psychokinesis, bless and curse. You'll find this Dire Shadow in Sapporo Jail, Sapporo Clock Tower. It drops a Gaia Belt (Endurance + 10) accessory when defeated. Some ways south of the entrance to the Rain Shrine. It also helps that in Merciless, encounters start dropping stat. Then the first dire shadow you face (in Sendai) can be easily cheesed by abusing its weakness to Fire, Ice, and Bless. You'll find this Dire Shadow in Sendai Jail, West Garden. Its probably considered cheap and cheasing it, but I only went into Merciless once I had an arsenal of persona with 99 in every stat. It drops a Tyche Charm (Luck +10) accessory when defeated. In front of the entrance to the Prison Keep. You'll find this Dire Shadow in Shibuya Jail, Bunkamachi West. Shocked enemies receive Technical damage from physical and nuclear skills, frozen enemies receive Technical damage from nuclear skills, and burned enemies receive Technical damage from wind and nuclear skills. This is one component you can exploit when fighting Dire Shadows. On the other hand, an enemy who is weak to a particular element is also especially vulnerable to its negative effect. Fire can burn, ice can freeze, and electricity can shock. You've been warned. As a rule, enemies who do not possess any kind of advantage over an element (be it resist, null or drain) are also not immune to its negative effect. Farming drain cards will make you hate this game. The only thing I'd say is really worth farming is the Grand Crystal. So farm the Dire Shadows for the ultimate weapons and Null accessories, Painful Past bosses for the unique accessories (Grand Crystal FTW!), and Painful Past+ for the ultimate armor. I ended up reverting my Lucifer back to the previous build and wasting all those cards. After all that work, I only ended up using only 2 of those cards permanently. It's just not necessary, nor is it optimal. ![]() Don't get me wrong, it can be fun to have a drain-all Lucifer. With 99 AGI, you'll auto evade most attacks anyway. Simply put, Drain passives are more often than not a waste of a skill slot. In fact, only 2 main bosses are immune to Dizzy so it's effective for the entire game. You gain back 5 SP per inflicted enemy and Morning Star can get technicals on dizzy enemies. I found adding Nocturnal Flash to Lucifer along with Ailment & Dizzy Boosts + Soul Thief to be more than sufficient for SP regen. ![]() Yes, you're basically invincible but the Omnipotent Orb does the same. You get more SP at will from Soul Thief than you would from waiting for attacks to drain and you lose out on a ton of damage potential. Not even Lucifer's Shadow of Grief makes it worthwhile. LocationÄrain Passive PSA: As someone that farmed all of the Drain cards after 3 NG+ Merciless playthroughs, I can say with confidence that Drain passives aren't worth the effort to farm. It's very likely just a coincidence but it kinda seemed like I had better luck getting them to drop if I ended the fight with a Showtime. The weapon drops on the first fight and then each rematch you'll have to pray the RNG gods smile upon you for the brooch to drop. So I went ahead and jotted it down while I went through my run. Maybe my googling sucks but I couldn't find this info compiled anywhere.
